CLINTON SMYTH, VP Exploration, Director

Clinton Smyth is a geochemist and computer scientist with more than 25 years of experience in minerals exploration, resource evaluation and mining for Anglo American Corp., one of the largest mining companies in the world. He began his career as a De Beers Consolidated Mines student in 1974, moving to the Anglo American Corporation of South Africa in 1978. He served Anglo American in diverse roles throughout Africa and Australasia until early 2000, when, as Vice President (Exploration), he resigned to move with his young family to Canada. In Vancouver he established Georeference Online Ltd, an exploration consulting and earth science software development company. In June 2005 he co-founded Redton Resources Inc., which explores for copper and gold in central British Columbia. From July 2005 until March 2007 he served as Vice President (Exploration) for Dome Ventures Corporation, conducting extensive target generation work in Australasia and Nigeria, and establishing Dome's ongoing exploration in Gabon. In April 2007 he joined the Durango Capital Corporation management team, and was appointed Vice President (Exploration) in July 2007.
